My Journey - January 2012

Pamela is feeling nervous about taking such a big step as to travel overseas (with a relative stranger, even if he's all that) to visit her never-met-before family. Forget that frivolous trip to Caribbean for the winter. A New England winter is good enough for the likes of us,
The plans and details involved are intimidating. I can't plan them for her, my making plans cannot address her anxieties. Besides, my style is to have a destination and plan loosely, being ready to take advantage of opportunities that inevitably arise. Pamela wants every detail addressed.

I can handle that, whatever plans she makes but... which details? I will work with her specifications and make sure everything meets my specifications too.

That is my plan. And, I pray too; "God grant me the strength to accept the things I can not change,"...
